In 2018, Blowgun Books launched a new edition of the graphic novel Música para Antropomorfos , originally published in 2006 on the initiative of the rock group Mechanics , led by Márcio Jr (MMarte Produções). The first edition, long sold out, has become a rare object of desire for fans of Zimbres and independent and copyrighted comics. Everyone has heard about the book, but few have managed to get a copy. In the world developed by Zimbres/Mechanics, we will get to know SP (San Paolo) and SF (San Francesco): two robot cities or walking fortresses. They evolve amid swamps, forests, deserts and fields populated by beefy alligators, friendly cows and headless dogs. Other side stories play out in and out of fortresses: political plots, publishers run by tyrannical cows, and domineering ghosts using people as puppets. With his line that brings a deep knowledge of graphic arts and visual narratives, Zimbres builds a rich, complex and coherent universe, combining underground comics with the experimentation of graffiti and plastic arts. Diving into the world of SP and SF is a unique, dreamlike and chaotic experience, guided by Zimbres' drawings and Mechanics' music.
